As Peggy Avery departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Peggy Avery may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Peggy Avery leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her granddaughter Mary Hannah Burlingame; and her daughter JoAnn McGillivray. She is survived by: her husband William D. Dobbs; her daughters, Debbie Burlingame and Robin Lott; her grandsons, Philip and Nathan Lott; and her sister Jane Palmer.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Lamar County Christian School, an institution she passionately helped develop and support.
