She was predeceased by: her husband Billy Joe; her parents, Howard Murphy and Kathleen Murphy; her grandson Grantham Pierce Clarke; and her siblings, Jimmie Ward, Sarah Boling, Charles Murphy and Barbara Bailey.

She is survived by: her children, William Grantham (Gay) of Brandon and Alison Clarke (Cy, Sr.) of Lexington, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Taylor Grantham (Haley), Cy Clarke, Jr. (Allison) and Harrison Clarke; her great grandchild Emery Clarke; and her sister Alice Grisham. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Parkway Heights United Methodist Church (2420 Hardy St, Hattiesburg, MS 39402). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Roseland Park Cemetery (1202 W 7th St, Hattiesburg, MS 39401).

The family asks that memorials be made to Parkway Heights United Methodist Church – missions, Edwards Street Fellowship Center, the Dr. Billy Joe Grantham Scholarship at the University of Southern Mississippi, or the Asbury Hospice House.
