She was predeceased by: her parents, James Sims Sr. and Jessie Merl McGee; her brothers, Troy Brazile and Johnny Brazile; and her grandchild Kyree Sims.
She is survived by: her children, Samuel "Shawn" Sims (Sabrina) of Detroit, MI, Angela "Nicky" Sims-Bell (George) of Starkville, MS and James "Gary" Sims (Maria) of Dublin, OH; her siblings, Janice Harthorne of Hattiesburg, MS, James Sims, Jr. (Vern) of Hattiesburg, MS, Eddie Brazile of Hattiesburg, MS, Dale Brazile of Hattiesburg, MS and Leon McCullum of Hattiesburg, MS; and her close friend Robert Davis. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
