He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Carol Beard; his parents, Thomas Glenvall Estes, Sr. and Lorene Lois Lauderdale Estes; and his brother Donald Estes (Cathy Estes). He is survived by: his children, Carol Ann Estes Bustin (Bill), Michael Thomas Estes (Heather) and Robert Glen Estes (Fay Zeng); his grandchildren, Emily Bustin Jones (Taylor), Abby Bustin Nickles (DeWayne), Will Bustin, Taryn Estes, Aidan Estes, Ian Estes, Christopher Estes and Jacob Estes; his great grandchildren, Liam James Bustin and Lucas Jax Bustin; and his siblings, Billy Estes (Phillys), Terry Estes (Paula) and Jeanne Estes (Sue Clark). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (115 N 25th Ave, Hattiesburg, MS 39401). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Along the way, he received the Daniel Robinson award from NACUBO for contributions to College and University accounting.
