With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Waucile Hodges of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, born in Leakesville, Mississippi, who passed away on June 6, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Walter Pierce and Zula Pierce; her sisters, Francis Cowart and Caroline Nell Christianson; her daughter Celia Lane; and her grandson Allen Kolle.
She is survived by: her husband Marshall Hodges; her sons, James Michael Hodges (Cathy) and Anthony Hodges (Jan); her grandchildren, Brad Hodges (Raegan), Greg Hodges (Jill), Elizabeth Baker (Andy), Somer Benjanin (Reed), Steve Hodges (Jamie), Rhonda Kirk (Gene) and Kimberly Kolle; and her granddaughter-in-law Stacy Kolle. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Service - Hattiesburg (805 Hardy St, Hattiesburg, MS 39401). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at the Highland Cemetery (3401 W 7th St, Hattiesburg, MS 39401).
