He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend J. D. Comfort and Mildred Comfort; and his sister Sylvia Ammons. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his sons, Don Comfort, Jr., Gregory Alan Comfort (Susan) and Damon L. Comfort; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Makaila and Nicole; his great grandchildren, Emerson and Oliver; and his sisters, Sue Mason and Sidney Couey. He is also survived by his family but many friends.
