He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Lee McKinzie Delaney and RJ Delaney; his sister Emma Mae Delaney Smith; his siblings-in-law, Haywood Smith and Ginny Bell; and his son-in-law Curtis Wade Alexander Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Jane Brown Delaney; his children, Lori Delaney Alexander and Rod Delaney (Leslie); his grandchildren, Jase Alexander (Mikayla), Katherine Delaney, Elizabeth Delaney and Ryan Delaney; and his great grandchildren, Charlie Wade Alexander and Stevie Jo Alexander. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (151 Caldwell Dr, Hazlehurst, MS 39083). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst or the American Cancer Society.
