He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Beard and Catherine Howard Beard; and his sister Francis McElveen. He is survived by: his wife Denise Beard; his son Shane Beard; his siblings, Jesse Beard and Evelyn Delaughter; and his grandchildren, Maddi Beard, Austin Burns, Jakob Lea and Tucker Lea. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins, and by his faith family.
