It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis Julienne Yates of Hazlehurst, Mississippi, who passed away on July 15, 2025, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome B. Yates, Sr. and Ada Hutchison Yates; his wife Helen Thompson; his brothers, Lt. Fount Yates, Lt. Jerome B. Yates, Jere N. Yates and Jack Yates; and his nieces, Sherry Womack and Mary Claire Odom.
He is survived by: his sibling's children, Jere Yates (Jenny), Polly Gale (Joe), Missie Odom (Mike) and Ann Hart; his sister-in-law May Ann Yates; and also Mark Scruggs.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stringer Family Funeral Home - Hazlehurst Po (28023 MS-28, Hazlehurst, MS 39083). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Julienne's Funeral Service.
