With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald A Wood of Hazlehurst, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 20, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Sandifer Wood, Jr. and Blanche Amos Wood; and his sister Judith Wood Davis. He is survived by: his children, Ronald Allen Wood, Jr. (Keri) of Tupelo and Julia Loftin (Will) of Brandon; his grandchildren, Kylie Page, Trey Wood, Abby Wood, Allie Loftin, Hannah Loftin and Quinn Loftin; and his siblings, Claude Sandifer Wood III (Babs), Barbara Wood Wise (Bob) and Delia Wood. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hazlehurst Methodist Church (127 Caldwell Dr, Hazlehurst, MS 39083). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hazlehurst Methodist Church, PO Box 725, Hazlehurst, MS 39083.
