He is survived by: his wife Shirley Cordell Shamoun; his sisters, Mary Anne Johnson (Tod), Charlene McGahan (Mike) and Gloria Thomas; his children, William "Billy" McCollum (Leah) of Hernando, Mississippi, Charles David Shamoun III (Dey) of Hernando, Mississippi and Sara LeAnne Shamoun Davis of Greenville, Mississippi.; his grandchildren, Cooper McCollum (Abby), Riley McCollum, Carlie Shamoun, Hallie Shamoun, Milo Carder, Charles David Shamoun IV, Anna Reece Davis, Alden Davis, Alivia Davis and Briar Davis; and his great grandchildren, Case McCollum and Massey McCollum.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Charles's memory.
