She was predeceased by: her parents, John Woods and Willie Mae Woods; her husband Virgil D. "Buddy" Edwards, Jr.; her children, Patricia "Patty" Vowell and Virgil D. "Donny" Edwards, III; her brothers, William Christopher "W. C." Woods and Charles Woods; and her son-in-law Roger Vowell, Sr..
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Roger Vowell, Jr. (Dena) and Daphne Cox (Bryan); her great grandchildren, Chandler Vowell (Julia), Parker Vowell (Brooke), Madison Cox and Matthew Cox; her great great grandchildren, Bexley Mae and Huntley Vowell; her sister Lucy Boyd; and her close friend Mary Chandler.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice, or the Huntington's Disease Foundation and Huntington's Disease Society of America.
