It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Louise Jones of Hernando, Mississippi, born in Winona, Mississippi, who passed away on February 14, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, James Floyd Box and Ila Mae Bennett Box; her husband Kelsie E. Jones, Sr.; her sisters, Adell Ward, Frances Smith, Mozelle Ingram, Vivian O'Steen, Inez Fitzgerald, Myrtle Safrit, Jean Box and Jane Box; and her daughter Monica Needham.
She is survived by : her sons, Kelsie E Jones, Jr. (Deborah) of Nolensville, TN and Larry James Jones (Lois) of Hernando, MS; and her grandchildren, James Hope, Stacey Needham (Jimmy), David Needham Jr. (Brandy), Brian Jones (Kyoko), Taylor Jones, Bradley Jones (Leslie), Chris Jones (Jennifer), Larry Jones, Jr. (Tiffany), Kevin Newsom (Heidi) and Terry Newsom (Alexis). She is also survived by great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Compassus Living Foundation, the charitable arm of Compassus Hospice.
