She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Pinkston; and her siblings, Hansel Sheppard, Margaret Watlington, Ruby Cook, Betty Rodgers and Verna House.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Clark (Billy) of Memphis, Teri Sheppard of Memphis, LeAnn Choi (Steve) of Memphis, Lonnie Sheppard (Judy) of Memphis and Tim Sheppard (Stacey) of Memphis; and her siblings, Bill Mercer, Martha James and Tom Mercer. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park – East (2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park – East Starts (2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
