With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Larry Gooslby of Hickory Flat, Mississippi, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Larry left this world on October 7, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willliam "Jessie" Goolsby and Era Bradford Goolsby; his sister Marie Goolsby Mills; his grandparents, William "Oscar", Lillie Cox Goolsby, John Franklin Bradford and Lillie Renick Bradford; his daughter Tina Goolsby; and his great grandchild Amelia Mae Goolsby.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Jackson Goolsby; his son William "Barry" Goolsby (Ginger) of Hickory Flat; his grandchildren, William "Grant" Goolsby (Maggie) of New Albany and Elizabeth Marie Matlock (Cody) of Blue Mountain; and his great grandchildren, William "Jack" Goolsby, Sam David Matlock, Evelyn "Evie" Grace Goolsby, James Haddon Matlock, Lucy Louise Goolsby and John Maxwell "Max" Goolsby. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the United Funeral Service, Inc. (700 MS-15, New Albany, MS 38652). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
