Larry left this world on October 7, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willliam "Jessie" Goolsby and Era Bradford Goolsby; his sister Marie Goolsby Mills; his grandparents, William "Oscar", Lillie Cox Goolsby, John Franklin Bradford and Lillie Renick Bradford; his daughter Tina Goolsby; and his great grandchild Amelia Mae Goolsby.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Jackson Goolsby; his son William "Barry" Goolsby (Ginger) of Hickory Flat; his grandchildren, William "Grant" Goolsby (Maggie) of New Albany and Elizabeth Marie Matlock (Cody) of Blue Mountain; and his great grandchildren, William "Jack" Goolsby, Sam David Matlock, Evelyn "Evie" Grace Goolsby, James Haddon Matlock, Lucy Louise Goolsby and John Maxwell "Max" Goolsby. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
