She is survived by: her brother Bubba Nerren; her husband Curtis Burkes of Hollandale, MS.; her children, Dr. Steve Burkes (Laura) of Franklin, TN and Kym Burkes Mitchell of Hollandale, MS; her sibling Shirley Goad (Jimmy) of Greenville, MS.; and her grandchildren, Konner Grace Mitchell of Cleveland, MS and Luke Burkes of Oxford, MS..
