We are sad to announce that on December 16, 2023, at the age of 89, Betty J Pitman of Horn Lake, Mississippi, born in Winnsboro, Louisiana passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty J Pitman to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Theodore Buckley Cowart and Eva Lenmore Nielsen Cowart; her siblings, James Cowart, Jerry Cowart, Billy Cowart and Patsy Cowart; and her husband J. L. Pitman, Jr..

She is survived by : her children, Tom Pitman of Memphis, TN, Rita Pitman Vogt of Horn Lake, MS and Kenny Pitman (Patti) of Brentwood, TN; and her sister Barbara Newton (Jack) of Metairie. She is also survived by five grandchildren, four great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Berea Baptist Church, 5550 Goodman Road West, Horn Lake, Mississippi 38637 or to a charity of donor's choice.
