He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Wayne Long and Donie Bell Brasher Long; and his siblings, Carolyn Kimbrell, Harold Long, Charles Long, Larry Long and Fred Long.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Tedford Long; his children, Debby Long of Houlka, Mark Long of Houlka, Trent Long (Margaret) of Bruce and Donna Clark (Chris) of Houlka; his sister Virginia Mitchell of Amory; and his grandchildren, Corey Long, J. B. Long (Lauren), Kaylyn Rish (Parker), Josh Long (Ally), Megan Autry (Matt), Cody Clark, Kyle Clark, Justin Long (Mattie), Stetson Long and Miranda Byars (Luke). He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
