Buchanan, Chester Buchanan, Charles Buchanan, Geneva Buchanan-McBride and Essie Dean Buchanan-Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Daisy Hobson (Michael), Brenda Woodard of Houlka, MS and Robert Woodard (Velma) of Columbus, MS.; her grandchildren, Michael Hobson Jr., Izola Woodard, Courtney Woodard, Marissa Pittman (Ricardo), Kayla Woodard, Jasmine Spencer, Robert Woodard II (Breja) and Ma'Darius Hobson (Ariana); her great grandchildren, Keyara Reed, Jamari Pittman and Robert Woodard III; her siblings, Lawrence Ware Jr. (Ada) of Houlka, MS, George Buchanan Jr. (Sharon) of Kalamazoo, MI, Laura Buchanan of Wren, MS, Marie Cunningham (James), Elizabeth Hale (Clarence) of Shannon, MS and Elnora Buchanan of Kalamazoo, MI; and her sisters-in-law, Lois Ware of Houlka, MS, Sarah Gladney of Houston, MS and Pearl Buchanan of Okolona, MS. She is also survived by beautiful nieces, handsome nephews, loving relatives, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Thompson Chapel C. M. E. Church (937 Co Rd 308, New Houlka, MS 38850). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
