He was predeceased by: his parent Ida Mae Conley; his grandparents, Eldie Conley and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Conley; his friends, Eddie Lane and Jimmie Adams; his sister-in-law Shirley Adams (Jimmie); and his uncle Jack.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Dell Bolton; his daughters, Leslie Posey (Marc) and Casey Patterson (Sean); his grandchildren, Madison Esterley (Wyatt), Taylor Posey, Kinley Patterson and Holden Patterson; his great grandchildren, Patton Posey, Sutton Posey, Cullen Esterley, Wells Conley Esterley and Posey James Esterley; and his sisters-in-law, Billie Lane (Eddie) and Cindy Ray (Lorne).
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors (535 W Jefferson St, Tupelo, MS 38804). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association in James's memory.
