Though Ada Celesta may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ada Celesta touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper Newton Scroggins and Opal Tillery Stonestreet; and her siblings, Bubba Scroggins, Kenneth Scroggins, Skipper Scroggins, Jackie Walton, Delores Watson and Kay Scroggins.
She is survived by: her husband James Houk; her children, Melissa Eacholes (Kevin) of Houston, James Houk, Jr. (Danielle) of Troy, MS, Jeremy Houk of Houston and Jeffrey Houk (Kristy) of Van Vleet; and her sister Betty Ramsey of Houston, TX. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
