He is survived by: his daughters, Rhonda Carney of Vallejo, California, Cheryl Allen of Brandon, Mississippi and Carol Burns of Houston, Mississippi.; his siblings, Elaine Smith and Eugene Peden; his grandchildren, Johnathon McCarn, Robert McCarn, Jennifer McCarn, Bradley McCarn, Samantha Gomez (Byron), Jessica Carney and Jaymie Carney; and his great grandchildren, Carter Gomez and Cailey Gomez.

His contributions to his field were deeply valued and respected by those who knew him professionally.
