He was predeceased by : his parents, Clark Dobbs and Rosie Dendy Dobbs; his wife Inez Gann Dobbs (Sissy); and his sisters, Melba Umstead and Alice Mae Lacey.

He is survived by : his daughters, Donna Weaver (Jerry) of Houston, MS and Karen Childress of Cottonwood, Arizona; his grandson Troy Weaver (Stacy) of Starkville, MS; his great grandchildren, Anna Beth Robertson, Andrew Robertson, Charlie Weaver and Addie Weaver; and his brother Joe Dobbs (Charlotte).
