We announce the death of Linda Sue Pennington of Houston, Mississippi, who passed away on August 14, 2026, at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Bufford Hollingsworth and Mary Susie Shurden Hollingsworth; her husbands, Samuel Wilkerson and Robert Pennington; her sons, Jack Pennington and William Pennington; and her sisters, Agnes Jones, Kay Hollingsworth and Margie Forbes.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Griffin (Lester) of Cleveland, MS, Jennifer Shields (Randy) of Houston, Larry Pennington (Bonnie) of Batesville, Ricky Pennington (Diane) of Vicksburg, Graham Pennington (Tammy) of Florida and James Pennington of West Virginia; her siblings, Adrian Hollingsworth of Cleveland, Danny Hollingsworth (Nettie) of Merigold, Barbara Hodges of Greenwood and Diane Beach of Ruleville; and her grandchildren, Tatum Olivi (Byran), Leslie Byars (Abel), Wendy Shields (Elvis Langford) and Crystal Shields (Matthew Mooneyham). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
