He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Taylor Goza and Geneva Goza; his wife Linda Ann Goza; and his sister Betty Langley. He is survived by: his sons, Robert Lamar "Bunky" Goza, Jr. (Nara) of Gattman and Benny Goza of Houston, Mississippi; his grandson Colin Stough (McKenzie Rhett) of Nashville, Tennessee; and his sister-in-law Marsha Carol DePriest of Carolton.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Houston Funeral Home (443 N Jackson St, Houston, MS 38851). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chickasaw Memorial Gardens (1500 MS-8, Houston, MS 38851).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Robert's memory to the Itawamba Community College Foundation, the ICC Alumni Association, or the Houston Fire Department, organizations that reflect his lifelong commitment to education, service, and his community.
