He was predeceased by : his parents, Maggie Putman Trainum and Kennie Richard Trainum; his siblings, Bobby Trainum and Betty Joslin; his nephew Ray Joslin; and his grandmother Emma "Maw" Trainum.

He is survived by : his wife Cindy Peyton Trainum; his son Kennie Richard Trainun (Pam); his stepson Brad Ferguson (Whitney); and his grandchildren, Travis Trainum, Dalton Trainum, Isaiah Ferguson, Anna Ferguson and Colton Ferguson.
