He was predeceased by : his parents, John Thompson and Lena Harris Thompson; and his siblings, William Thompson, Lora Stein, Eunice Gross, Johnny Thompson, Gene Thompson, Helen Kimmel and Nancy Jennings.

He is survived by : his wife Jamie Miller Thompson of Independence; and his sister Linda Thompson Latting of Hernando, MS. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
