He is survived by: his children, Billy Joe Smith, Jr. (Stacie) of Bartlett, Tennessee and Monica Edwards (Bryan) of Greenville; his siblings, Curtis Smith (Joyce) of Linn, Lavern Griffin of Colorado Springs and Betty Nelson (Steve) of Saucier; his grandchildren, Joey Smith, Hunter Smith, Daniel Smith, Trey Stricklin (Lisa), Keri Stricklin and Kristyn Edwards; and his great grandchildren, Luke Smith, Waylon Smith, Colin Stricklin, Christian Leach, Ryan Leach and Hannah Leach. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
