Cassandra Joyce Read Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cassandra Joyce Read of Indianola, Mississippi, who passed away on November 17, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kerry Read and Arvah Read; and her brother William "Billy" Read. She is survived by: her siblings, Libby Edwards (Jim) of Indianola and John Michael Read (Kris) of Horn Lake; and her siblings' children, Mandy McCarty, Angel Anderson, Jennifer Morgan, Michael Read, Donna Embry, Stanley Embry, Dawn Embry and Derrick Reed.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Burton Funeral Home (634 US-82, Indianola, MS 38751). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude.
