He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Akins Smith of Indianola; his grandson Knox Smith; and his siblings, Hubert'Bubba'Smith (Cathy), Beckey Neal of Tupelo and Nancy Grissette of Tupelo.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Burton Funeral Home (634 US-82, Indianola, MS 38751). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
