He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred A. Long, Sr. and Eddie E. Long; his wife Grace Long; his son Darryl Long; and the parents of child, Fred and Eddie Long.

He is survived by : his children, Stevie Long (Dodi) and Jana Long Bormann (Jason); his daughter-in-law Amanda Long; his grandchildren, Logan Long (Cari), Lauren Long, Abigail Long, Avery Dawson, Dillion Long, Garett Long, Maegan McGarity (Denny), Jaycie Ivey (Josh), Isaac Bormann (Melody) and J. T. Dado; and his great grandchildren, Davis Long, Dexter Long and Dolly Ivey.

Memorials may be made in Mr. Long's honor to the American Kidney Fund or the Pilot Club of Iuka.
