He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Jean Brown; his parents, John Wallace Brown and Nannie McDaniel Brown; and his siblings, John Brown Jr., Newell Wallace Brown, Richard Wallace Brown and Orgie Seals.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Brown (Regina), Adam Brown (Catherine) and Cheryl Lynn Fowler (John); and his siblings, Harry Andrew Brown, Doris Brown, Vernie Marie Simmons (James) and Ruby Ridgedale (Ivy). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren.
