She was predeceased by : her husband Kenneth Cox; her parents, Earl Barnes and Lillian Woodruff Barnes; her daughter Anita Faye Burcham; and her siblings, Earline Whitfield, Nan Barnes and Keifer Barnes.

She is survived by : her son Harold Ray Cox (Judy); and her sisters, Hilda Grisham and Bernice Perry. She is also survived by four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
