He was predeceased by : his parents, Billie Jean and Lyman Hester; his grandparents, Christine, Johnny Dempsey, Sally Frank Castleberry and Thomas Benton Hester; his mother-in-law Martha Jeffreys; and his niece Kathryn Jeffreys.

He is survived by : his wife Alicia Hester; and his cousins, Tommy Hester (Sheila), Robert Dexter (Kathy) and Ray Dexter (Dean).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lynn's honor to the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
