She was predeceased by: her parents, Erskine Embrey and Evelyn Gipson Embrey; her brothers, Erskine E. "Sonny" Embrey and Roy Embrey; and her nephews, Jimmie "Jimbo" Brown and Michael Brown.
She is survived by: her siblings, Thelma "Sis" Wynn, Carol Tomlin (Bill), Jim Embrey (Shirley), Linda Embrey and Joyce Embrey. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cutshall Funeral Home - Iuka (302 N Pearl St, Iuka, MS 38852). The lying in state will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the New Salem Baptist Church (94 Co Rd 283, Iuka, MS 38852). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
