It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Allee Vance Palmer of Jackson, Mississippi, who passed away on September 11, 2025, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Angus Vance and Pearl Ford Vance; her siblings, Ford Vance, Hassel Vance, Cayce Vance, Burris Vance and Alma Vance Shoemake; and her husband Arvil Lawton Palmer.

She is survived by: her son Dr. Michael Lawton Palmer; her daughter-in-law Lisa Goodman Palmer; and her grandchildren, Brian (Jordan), Max (Kayla), Sam, Elliott, Parker, Olivia and Jack. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

“We met Ms. Allee a year ago when my Aunt Lucille moved into Beau Ridge. Aunt Lucille sat at Ms. Allee's table. I enjoying having conversation with her about her past, her career, her family, and politics. She and I certainly think alike. I was always so impressed in Ms. Allee's positive outlook and historical knowledge. She was very intelligent and I learned many things from her. May God watch over the entire Palmer family at this time. RIP Ms. Allee. We will miss you”
