It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernard Shipp in Jackson, Mississippi, born in Rome, Mississippi, who passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Shipp and Ruth Shipp; and his grandson Decker Shipp. He is survived by: his wife Sherri Shipp; his children, Catherine Brown (Shane) of Scottsdale, AZ, Bernard Shipp, Jr., John Shipp (Jennifer) of Corinth and James Shipp (Lyndsay) of Oxford; and his grandchildren, Cate Rivers Shipp, Connor Brown, Sheridan Shipp, Hayden Brown, Lynlee Shipp, Bracken Shipp, Griffin Brown, James Shipp, Will Shipp, John Shipp and Loring Shipp.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (919 E Shiloh Rd, Corinth, MS 38834). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
