He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kostandinos Hontzas and Doris Cutrer Hontzas. He is survived by: his former wife Eva Auline Rayfield; his family Jackson; his wife Auline Rayfield Hontzas; his children, Stefanie Hontzas Grant (Alan), Melanie Hontzas, Timothy Hontzas and Bethanie Hontzas DeFatta (Jerry); his grandchildren, Parker Grant, Shelby Grant, Athena Grace Hontzas, Eva Marie DeFatta, Ella Kate DeFatta and Trey DeFatta; and his caregiver Tina Willard of Hearts.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Colonial Heights Baptist Church (444 Northpark Dr, Ridgeland, MS 39157). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Gateway Rescue Mission.
