He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Coats and Annie Mae Coats of Cleveland, MS; and his siblings, J. W. Coats of Doddsville, MS and Bertha Mae Roberson of Doddsville, MS.. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Coats; and his children, Steve Coats (Brenda) of Raymond, MS, Pam Lowe (Craig) of Florence, MS and Renee Cockerill (Chris) of New York. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 nieces and many great nieces and nephews.
