Edward Harold Fisher Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward Harold Fisher (Jackson, Mississippi), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 10, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, E. H. Fisher and Mildred Bell Fisher; and his sister Margie Fisher Hand. He is survived by: his wife Martha Huggins Fisher; his children, Barbara Fisher Mize (David) of Rocky Mount, NC, Hal Fisher (Beth) of Madison, MS and Laura Fisher James (Gerald) of Dallas, TX; and his grandchildren, David Mize, Jr. of Wake Forest, Daniel Mize of Raleigh, NC, Emily Mize Mould of Nashville, TN, Kathryn Fisher of Ridgeland, MS, Claire Fisher Gressett of Hattiesburg, MS, Julianne James Isenberg of Tulsa, OK and Jeffrey James of Los Angeles, CA. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Peters Cemetery (309 N 16th St, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church -Oxford (800 Van Buren Ave, Oxford, MS 38655).
