She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Warren Carr and Ellen Cooper Smith Carr; her husband Kossuth Dewitt Hamilton; and her sister Penelope C. Hutcherson. She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Ellen Dillard and Elizabeth Hamilton Ingram (Patrick); her grandchildren, Ellen Cooper Dillard (Mae Pate) and Jack Ingram; and her nephew Warren Jones.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Andrew's Episcopal Cathedral (305 E Capitol St, Jackson, MS 39201). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Lakewood Memorial Park (6000 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, MS 39209).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Stewpot Community Services or a charity of your choice.
