She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Haskell Gunter; her parents, Dewey Gibbons and Ruby Gibbons; and her brothers, John Gibbons, Arthur Gibbons and Byron Delano Gibbons.

She is survived by: her daughter Lea Deniece Gunter; and her sister Freddie Fraiser. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
