She was predeceased by: her parents, Sandy Marshall and Lamar Marshall Sr.; and her brothers, Sandy "Uncle June" Marshall, Jr., William "Bill" Marshall, Wiley Marshall, Henry "Jay" Marshall and Alan "Jango" Marshall.

She is survived by: her husband Meland Summers, Sr.; her sisters, Lula "Mae" Moore, Golden "Doll" Montgomery, Rosetta "Sookie" Poe and Adlean "Fat" Morris; her children, Meland Summers, Jr., Carolyn Thompson and Daphia Bailey (Marcus); her stepson Perry Tillman; her grandchildren, Coby Jones and Pier Thompson; and her siblings, Samuel Marshall Sr. (Barbara) and Pauline Warren (Thomas). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
