He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Thomas Philip Cote Jr. and Jeanette Fuente Cote; and his brother Thomas Philip Cote, III. He is survived by: his significant other Bethany Handelman; his children, Lander H. Cote Jr. (Kyti) of Hattiesburg, Elizabeth Cote Brewer of Flowood, MS, Brad Cote (Whitley) of Madison, MS, Amy Handelman (Jon) of Chapel Hill, TN and Nick Handelman (June) of Long Island, NY; his grandchildren, Grayson Brewer, Brayden Cote, Charles Handelman, Jonathan Todd, Shelby Todd, Jackson Todd, Emma Todd and Duke Todd; and his siblings, Cissy Cote Arender (Gene), Lisa Cote McGinley (Dave), Andrew F. Cote Madison (Tara) and Timothy Howard Cote Spencer (Diane). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, CARA Animal Rescue or ARF Animal Rescue.
