She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wilburn and Alma Thetus McNeeley Burnett; and her siblings, Rev. Johnnie Ruth Caughron, James Fred Burnett, Henry Orval Burnett, Alma Hickox, Maurine Burkhalter and Jeanette Walker.
She is survived by: her husband Billy G. Mitchell of Terry. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Pentecostal Church of Jackson (1505 Robinson St, Jackson, MS 39203). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at the Natchez Trace Cemetery (759 US-51, Madison, MS 39110).
