He was predeceased by : his parents, Lula Rozell and Leroy Lee; his spouse Inell Thomas; and his siblings, Beatrice Nelson, Mattie Jones, Willie Rozell and Jasper Lee.

He is survived by : his brothers, Charles Lee (Linda), Aaron Lee (Francis) and Chester Lee (Deloris); and his children, James Thomas, Cordera Jackson (Denika), Eric Wilson (Angel), Shaundra Thomas-Williams (Ricky), Rosa Thomas, Miracle Jackson and Arnell Thomas. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
