With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jessica Barton Clarke of Jackson, Mississippi, born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on October 25, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessica Stark Barton and Lester Curry Barton; her son Barton Curry Brown (Holden Mast Clarke); her brother John Curry Barton; and her nephew James Edward Barton.
She is survived by: her son Ralph Baxter Brown, Jr.; her stepchildren, Stuart Clarke, Shellie Kilgore and Jennifer Stocker; and her nephews, John Poston Barton and Stephen Curry Barton. She is also survived by numerous step grandchildren, great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hutchison School, 1740 Ridgeway Road, Memphis, TN 38119, St. Philip's Episcopal Church, or the charity of your choice.
