He is survived by: his fiancée Joy Foster Harris of Magee, MS; his niece Kresty Banck; his former wife Karin Helms; his daughter Holly Helms Grundon (Bryan) of Lincoln, VT; his grandchildren, Sarah Jane and Carlyle; his daughter Laura Helms Krohne (Nathan); his grandchildren, Austin and Isabella; his brother Robbie; and his sister-in-law Suzi Banck of Franklinton, LA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeside Presbyterian Church.
