He is survived by: his stepfather Andrew Hayes of Jackson, MS; his children, Petrick Russell (Shoniqua) of Jackson, MS, Lee R. Hughes of Brandon, MS, Lorenzo Herring of Houston, TX and Maria H. Hughes (Cedric) of Jackson, MS; and his siblings, Mary Henson (Pastor Nathaniel), Alice Palmer (Charles), Pastor Linda Young (Tommy), Charles Herring of Jackson, MS and Rev. James Swanagan of Augustus, GA.. He is also survived by Three grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends.
