She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezra Mayer and Anna Mayer; and her sisters, Irene and Gladys. She is survived by: her husband John Wenger; her siblings, Willard Mayer and Verda Mayer; her daughters, Paula Duffy (Lamar), Sharon Montgomery (Paul), Julie Allnutt (Frank) and Jenny Crutchfield; and her grandchildren, Ashleigh Clayburn (Danny), Caitlyn Duffy, John Brandon Montgomery (Marley), Natalie Montgomery, Haley (Josh), Hunter Crutchfield, Anna Carson Crutchfield, Kristina Allnutt, John Allnutt, Hudson Crutchfield, Brayden Allnutt, Kayleigh Montgomery, Nicholas Allnutt, Kyra Allnutt and Mackenzie Allnutt.

In Lieu of flowers, she has requested a memorial donation to Friend to Friend International Ministry (ESL) at First Baptist Church, Jackson, MS.

“My condolences to the families of Aunt Lucille. I remember visiting years ago and the trip was long. I was traveling with my cousin Danny Joe, my siblings Mitch, Marilynn and Melissa. We finally get to their house and I was famished and thirsty. This was the first time I had “southern “ sweet tea. It tickled my ears. Here in the North, I drink it unsweetened, So you can imagine my surprise when I first tasted it. Wished we kept in touch better.”
